Always start by asking how everyone is doing? What actual progress did they make the past week? (what do they possess now to show for how they spent their week).
Concerning personal progress- Your feelings mean nothing.
Your actions mean everything (especially "A" activities).
If they think they've had a bad week- remind them of "Thankful comparisons" (things really aren't that bad- get off the pity pot!)
